Overview of novelties in the arrhythmology field, as presented during the ESC meeting 2011. Explanation on why these new data are relevant and new, by positioning them within the existing knowledge field, and by indicating to what new clinical decisions and approaches these findings may lead.

Content of the course

Overview of newly presented data in different areas of arrhythmology: basic insights and mechanisms of arrhythmias, medical and ablation treatment of atrial fibrillation, device therapy, lead extraction and innovative approaches to pacing.
