Welcome to the Clinical Division of the Russian Science Medical Society of Internal Medicine.

The Clinical Division is an autonomous organization in the RSIM structure. Our mission is to improve diagnostics, treatment and understanding of pathophysiology of therapeutic pathology. This is achieved through development of open clinical projects, monitoring of their implementation and introduction of results into practical medicine within the priority national project "Health". We also support educational projects and efforts of young professionals working in the field of therapy.

One of the key tasks of the Clinical Division is to increase credibility to scientific and clinical research works in the field of therapy conducted in the territory of the Russian Federation.

The following groups were created in the Clinical Division structure:

Working group
Development of methodology of clinical trials in the field of therapy, with participation of leading experts in the field under discussion. The purpose of the meetings is to determine relevant direction of development of clinical trials, definition of rational endpoints and study design.

Committee on Strategic Planning of clinical trials
Development of design, protocol, timing of clinical trials based on recommendations of the Working group. The purpose of the Committee also includes support of clinical projects, including projects of young scientists, subjected to consideration of the Committee.

Research group
Actual performance of the developed protocol within the time frame specified. Monitoring of its implementation. Involvement of independent monitoring committees to control the trial. Creating of methodological materials and/or national guidelines on the basis of the data obtained.

he Clinical Division also conducted a competition for young scientists under the National Congress of Physicians. The purpose of the competition is to draw attention to the projects of young professionals from all regions of the Russian Federation.

The start of a series of educational projects, including on the rules of establishment and conduct of clinical trials under the rules of Good Clinical Practice - GCP - is planned.
